How Do I Find My UTD ID?

Purpose

This article helps you find your UTD-ID which is a 10 digit unique identification number provided to you by UTD.

Finding UTD-ID

Faculty and Staff

Your UTD-ID will be on your UTD Comet Card. If the number on your Comet Card only has 8 digits, you will need to add 20 in front of your UTD-ID when you enter it.
- For example, if the number on your Comet Card is 12345678, you will enter 2012345678 in any UTD-ID fields.

Note: If you do not have your UTD-ID or Comet Card, you can contact the OIT Help Desk for assistance. New employees should contact their supervisor.

Applicants and Newly Admitted Students

Your UTD-ID should be sent in your application acknowledgment email from admissions-status@utdallas.edu. If you need help, please contact the Office of Admission and Enrollment at 972-883-2270, 1-800-889-2443, or admission@utdallas.edu.

Current and Former Students

Your UTD-ID will be on your UTD Comet Card and can be found in Galaxy under Orion Student Center > Profile. If the number on your Comet Card only has 8 digits, you will need to add 20 in front of your UTD-ID when you enter it. For example, if the number on your Comet Card is 12345678, you will enter 2012345678 in any UTD-ID fields.
