New Teams
The new Teams desktop client is a complete re-designed transformation from the ground up, with enhancing performance as one of the top priorities. It is faster, simpler and provides a more flexible user experience. It installs and loads faster, letting users launch and join meetings quickly and ensures more efficient use of device resources. The lower memory and disk usage is the highlight of Teams, which optimizes according to the device. Whether we have users on multiple accounts or tenants, the new Teams client helps eliminate the silos and bring them together in one place, providing more extensibility and scalability.

Where Can I Get It?
While Microsoft is still polishing up the new experience, you can try it by selecting the Try the new Teams toggle in the upper-left corner of the Windows desktop. You can toggle back and forth between the new and classic Teams as often as you like. If you don’t see the toggle, try signing out and back in.
Minimum System Requirements
- You must be running on macOS Monterey (12) or higher.
- To see the “Try the new Teams” toggle, your current Teams app must be running version 1.6.00.12303 or higher.
- If you are at a lower version, select on the Overflow menu (…) > check for updates > update > restart your app.
- If you still don't see the App Switcher, please open a ticket by clicking here.
