Microsoft Teams Premium

Summary

This article explains what Microsoft Premium is and how UTD is looking to integrate it in the future.

Body

What is Microsoft Teams Premium?

Microsoft Teams Premium is a new offering that builds on the current Teams experience. Microsoft Teams Premium has additional features that help make Teams meetings even more personalized, intelligent, and protected. It also enables capabilities for additional meeting scenarios, including Virtual Appointments and webinars.

Purchasing the Microsoft Teams Premium add-on license provides users with extra features on top Teams along with their Microsoft 365 subscription. The intelligent meeting recap feature is designed to provide a concise summary of meetings you either own or have been directly invited to. Remember that this feature excludes Webinars and Townhall Events.

As for how the University is reviewing this, UTD is currently testing this subscription-based software and it is not currently publicly available.
