Request a Static IP Address

Summary

This article explains the process for requesting a static IP address for a given UTD computer. This may be a workstation, lab equipment, physical or virtual server, etc.

Body

Submitting a Request

  • Navigate to the IP Address Reservation service page.
  • Select the Request New Static Reservation service offering.
  • Please include the following about the device in the Description field:
    • Hostname
    • Location
    • MAC address(es) of the network adapter(s)
    • Type (physical, virtual, etc.)
Note: If the MAC address is unknown, include as much detail about the device as possible.
  • Click Submit.
