NAC BYOD Active Directory Sign-In

Summary

This article contains instructions are for those connecting their device to the wired network and using their Active Directory credentials to authenticate.

Instructions

  • Open your browser of choice (Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc.) and navigate to "Log In to the Network" page.
    • Sign in using your UTD credentials (NetID and password).

  • Select Confirm for the "ForeScout Compliance Test."
Note: Confirming will start the download.

  • The download will automatically begin.

  • Open the file once your download is complete.

  • Select Run on the pop-up window.

  • You will then see a confirmation screen regarding the registration.

  • Open a separate tab and navigate to any website. 
  •  If you need to connect to "University Network Resources," the Secure Connect agent will show if your machine is compliant or not by the below screen.
    • If the machine is Not Compliant, you will still have access to the Internet in order to update your machine.

  • After updating your device, search for the "Forescout Compliance Center" in your device.
  • Right-click on the Forescout icon and select View Compliance Center.

View Compliance Center option is top on the list options.

  • Click Recheck to re-evaluate your machine.
  • When your machine meets compliance, you will then have access to University Network Resources.
