CometAI makes it easy to collaborate by letting you share conversations, prompts, and assistants with other users on the platform.Open the Share Panel.
- Log in to the Comet AI platform using your UTD Credentials.
- On the left sidebar, click the Share icon located between the chat and settings icons.
- Click Share with Other Users.
- Select the + People field.
- Enter the UTD NetID Email(s) of the user(s) you wish to share with.
- The receiving user must have access to CometAI Platform to receive your shared conversation.
- Add a Note (Required) describing what you share and why.
- Select Items to share by choosing one or more of the following:
- Prompts (Assistants, Helpers, Custom Instructions or Templates)
- Conversations
- Or Folders
- Click Share.
- The selected user(s) will now have access to shared content.
- While viewing any Conversation, click the Share icon located at the top of the window.
- Similar ro the Share Tab instructions- Add Recipients, a Note and select your Items.
- Click Share.
Note: The conversation from which you initiated the share activity will have already been selected.
- Select the | ->Map to icon to open side panel.
- Click the Share icon to initiate the same sharing process.
- Similar ro the Share Tab instructions- Add Recipients, a Note and select your Items.
- Click Share.
Shared items do not appear automatically in your workspace. You must import them to begin using or editing.
- Select the | ->Map to icon to open side panel.
- Click the Share icon > Shared with You.
- Select an Item and click Accept Items.
- The item will appear in the appropriate section of your workspace:
- Conversations in the chat list
- Or Prompts/RAG Assistants in their respective panels
Note: If you do not see an item that was shared with you, the sender may not have shared it correctly.
Confirm that they used your correct UTD NetID email address.
- Use a clear and descriptive note to help recipients understand your intent.
- Only share it with people who you really want to give access to.
- Users can access query files attached to RAG models that have been shared with them
- Organize content into folders before sharing for easier navigation.
The Share feature accessed through the left-hand menu is currently not functioning as expected.
After selecting conversations to share and completing the required fields in the "Add People to Share With" popup, users will encounter an error message stating, “Sharing failed, please try again.” We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it. In the meantime, we recommend holding off on sharing conversations via this method.
