Issue
While logging in to a Duo-protected website or application on any iOS or macOS devices, the Duo Prompt displays an error message saying:
"You cannot browse this page at 'duo.com' because it is restricted"
Or the device displays a gray box instead of the prompt. Follow the instructions below to fix this error.
Possible Solutions
Enabling JavaScript
- Open Safari.
- In the top toolbar, click on Safari > Settings...
- In the new window, select the Security tab.
- Check the box next to "Enable JavaScript".
Disabling Content Restrictions
- Open System Settings.
- Select Screen Time.
- Select Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- If not done so already, click the toggle on for Content & Privacy > Content Restrictions.
- Under "Access to Web Content", select Unrestricted Access (to completely disable content restrictions) or Allowed Websites Only (to select website to have access).
- If "Allowed Websites Only" is selected, make sure to add
duosecurity.com
by clicking the Customize button populated in the "Web Content" section.
