Note: If you have two monitors and only one of the displays is affected, dragging a window or app on the good monitor corrects the zoom.
Adjust Zoom
Before moving forward, please ensure the zoom function on your desktop is set to a reasonable percentage (for example, 100%) in your display settings.
- You can use CTRL + Mouse to scroll the wheel to zoom in and out or select icons to use this function to make them appear large or small.
- If this does not fix the issue, please unplug the monitor, wait several seconds, and plug it back in.
Update Monitor Driver
If the above options do not seem to fix the issue, make sure the driver for the monitor is up to date. The most common cause of this issue is an outdated monitor driver. To do this, follow the below instructions:
- Navigate to Control Panel > Device Manager > Monitors.
- Select the monitor that is facing the issue.
Note: Please update all display drivers.
- Right-click the monitor you want to update and select Update Driver.
- This will open a new window asking if you want to search automatically for the driver or use a driver on the computer > OK.
- Unless the user has the exact driver from a technician, it is best to search automatically if the computer has a network connection.
- The driver will automatically be updated and give you a new message when the download is complete. The effects should be seen immediately, but you may need to restart your machine in some cases.
