UT Dallas utilizes the Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Protection (EOP) to scan and quarantine suspicious emails. Emails may be quarantined for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to spam detection, phishing detection, malware prevention, or impersonation attempts. Review Quarantined Messages on Shared Mailboxes
Shared mailbox quarantined messages can be previewed, released, and deleted using the steps below. Messages released from quarantine will be delivered to the shared inbox.
- Navigate to Security.microsoft.com/quarantine.
- Sign In with your UTD credentials.
- Complete the Duo MFA prompt.
- Click the Filter button in the Quarantine section.
- Enter the address of the shared mailbox in Recipient Address and click Apply. (You may set other parameters here if needed.)
- After a moment, the quarantined messages will load.
- From here, you may select one or more pieces of mail for release, deletion, preview, or blocking
Note: Not all quarantined messages may be released. Those suspected of malicious intent require approval for release. Please
