About SnagIt
SnagIt is a screen capture and recording solution that enables you to capture content on your screen including specific windows, user-specified regions, and scrolling windows (browsers). Once content is captured, users can edit and highlight content using a variety of draw tools.

Access
Students
Students can download the free trial from the SnagIt website. To receive a full copy of the software from UTD, a faculty sponsor must request it on behalf of the student. They can do so by emailing elearning@utdallas.edu and request a copy for the student. Justification must be also included in the email.
Once approved, elearning will provide an access code with links to documentation and additional information.
Faculty/Staff
If a member of the UTD Faculty or Staff would like access to the SnagIt software, they can download the free trial from the SnagIt website. Then, they can request a full copy by emailing elearning@utdallas.edu with justification.
