Purpose

This article has information to enable sharing permissions on a Mac computer for applications such as Teams.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy.
  2. To enable changes to settings, make sure the padlock in the bottom left corner of the window is unlocked(). If not, click on it to unlock it.
  3. Select Camera() and make sure that the check box is checked next to the application that you would like to give access to, such as Teams (as shown below).

  1. Next, choose Screen Recording and make sure that the check box is checked next to the application that you would like to give access to, such as Teams.

  1. Next, select Microphone and make sure that the check box is checked next to the application that you would like to give access to, such as Teams.

  1. Select Accessibility and make sure that the check box is checked next to the application that you would like to give access to, such as Teams.

  1. Click on the padlock()in the bottom left to lock it and prevent further changes.
    1. You will need to restart the applications whose access was changed.
  2. If screen recording does not work after this, return back to these settings to ensure that they went through. If they did, restart the computer and try again.
