Who Can Use Github Enterprise?
The site license for UTD’s GitHub Enterprise system covers the following use cases:
- Only enrolled students, faculty, and staff have access.
- Only for non-commercial usage.
- External users can gain access if they collaborate with UTD on research projects.
- Visit their website for more information about terms through GitHub’s educational license.
Why Should I Use GitHub Enterprise Over the Public GitHub.com?
How Do I Sign Up?
- You can access GitHub Enterprise along with training resources and repository naming recommendations here via the public repositories.
- Affiliate a personal GitHub account with the University of Texas at Dallas organization here.
- Single-sign-on is available to authenticate your affiliation with the University of Texas at Dallas organization. Please use your NetID and password to log in.
- Install a Git client. GitHub Enterprise can be used with almost any client that supports Git.
- Add an SSH key to your account on this page.
- To add an SSH key, create a repository and add collaborators.
Note: New users must first create a personal GitHub account before they can affiliate with the University of Texas at Dallas organization.
