Details

Microsoft Teams is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play store.

Users can install the Teams app on their personal smart phone if they chose. Doing so will allow the employee to make and receive calls with their UTD telephone number.

This replaces call forwarding to personal cell phone numbers. Since calls come through the Teams app, it's very easy to identify if the call is coming from someone at UTD or an external source calling your UTD phone number. Forwarding calls to your cell phone number is not available in Teams Voice.

Teams Voice, part of Microsoft Teams, is a replacement to the traditional VOIP phone system in use on the UTD Campus. It allows users to make and receive calls using their UTD phone numbers from mobile devices, computers, and the web, whether on campus or working remotely.
