This article provides information on the tile contents of the Advising Homepage in Galaxy.

Tile Contents

• Approvals tile – Dynamically shows the number of approvals needing attention.

• Academic Advising tile – Content for advising students, includes a link to Studentbook (opens in a new window/tab, depending on browser settings).

   

• Graduation tile - Includes Graduation Tracking, Request Advisement Report, Student Services Center (Student), Student Program/Plan.

   

• Admissions Data tile – Links to commonly used Admissions pages needed to advise a student.

   

• Reports tile- Linked to the PS Query Viewer function and OSPA Data Warehouse.

   

• Student Information tile – Links to Student Services Center (Student), Student Program/Plan, a folder containing Maintain Service Indicators, Student Groups, Student Milestones, a folder for Citizenship and Visa, Residency Data, Communication Detail (to see emails to students with Comm Gen), and a Legislative Requirements folder containing TSI status and Student 6-drop count.

   

• Transfer Credit tile – Links for Course Credits – Automated, Course Credits – Manual, Petition for Credit, Test Results, Academic Test Summary, Transfer credit tool, TCEP Request.

   

• Registration Tile – Links for Quick Enroll, Student Planner (link within Student Services Center), Enrollment Request, Class Search, a folder for Pre-Term Information for Term-Activation, a folder for Legislative Requirements for TSI Status and Student 6-drop count, a link to Coursebook (opens in a new window/tab based on browser settings), Enrollment Requirement Roster, Enrollment Request Search, Class Roster.

   

 

• Department Scheduler - *Only if you do scheduling for your department. Requires approval from Registrar’s Office and training.

 

• Student Success - *Only for Undergraduate Education, Student Success Office.

    

 

• TA/RA Information – Only used in Office of Graduate Education for tracking TA/RA requirements.

     

 

• Worklist – Shows approvals from the Orion system.
