UTD's Galaxy Launch page for Orion and Gemini FMS/HCM that can accessed via this link.
Fluid navigation uses Homepages and Tiles as the starting point for navigation within the system. Within Tiles, you will have either a collection of links or a link to a page.
There will be many less-frequently used pages that will still have to be accessed through the NavBar Navigator.

- A Fluid Home page appears when you log in to the PeopleSoft system.
- Homepages are the starting point for navigation in Fluid.
- A user can have several homepages and one default homepage that is displayed after login. You can navigate to a different homepage by clicking on the Homepage navigator button at the top left of the screen.
- The homepage has tiles that allow users to perform routine tasks quickly. Tiles give users direct access to targeted transaction areas within the system.
- A Tile is a large square or button on a Landing Page.
- Clicking on a Tile can open a Navigation Collection, a PeopleSoft page, a page of other Tiles, or an external link.
- Each Tile requires a user to have at least one of the required PeopleSoft security roles to view or access the Tile.
- The NavBar is a bar of icons with navigation options.
- The NavBar icon is located in the top-right-hand corner of the page.
- This opens a Navigation Bar menu of icons, including the Navigator icon.
- The Navigator icon replaces the Main Menu in Classic navigation.
- Clicking on Gemini FMS expands the FMS menu to show all FMS folders and modules.
Clicking on the Bell icon at the top right of the home page displays the notifications.
There are two types of notifications:
- Actions: Allow the transfer to a transaction where some action may be performed.
- Alerts: An informational message that the user may delete. A transfer to the transaction may also be performed but is optional.
- The Notifications will display a badge listing any new Actions or Alerts. The example shows a listing of 3 Actions.
- Tap an individual Action or Alert to transfer to the transaction.
- Alternatively, tap the View All link to see a detailed list of all transactions.
Action items, accessible through three vertical dots at the top right of the home page, provide users with quick access to:
- Personalize the homepage
- Refresh
- Open the current page in a new window
- Access User Preferences
- Access PeopleSoft Online Help
- Sign out
- Navigation Collections
- Approvals
- Forms
- Self Service
- A navigation collection is a collection of folders and pages related to a business function.
- These folders and pages allow for grouping pages that are accessed frequently within a certain business function.
- The Pending Approvals page is a one-stop page where users can approve FMS and HCM transactions.
- The Pending Approvals page can be accessed through the Approvals Tile on a Landing Page.
- The Pending Approvals page groups the transactions yet to be approved in folders by transaction type, date, requestor, or priority.
- Clicking on a transaction pending approval in the list takes the approver to the source transaction so that an electronic approval can be performed.
- The Forms page is a one-stop page where users can initiate and view FMS and HCM PeopleSoft Forms.
- The Forms page can be accessed through the Forms Tile on the Landing Page.
