This article shows specific steps for connecting to the CometNet wireless network from a computer running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. However, these steps may be easily adapted for most modern Linux distributions.

Note: For specific steps on connecting to a WPA2 Enterprise secured network on another distribution, please refer to the applicable documentation.
- Open Wi-Fi Settings.
- Select CometNet (or CometNet_Legacy).

- Enter the Network Settings as outlined in this article (and noted below).
- EAP method: PEAP
- (If asked) Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
- CA certificate: Use system certificates
- (If asked) Online Certificate Status: Do not verify
- Domain: utdallas.edu or CAMPUS
- Identity or Username: Your NetID
- If you face issues connecting with your NetID, please use your NetID@utdallas.edu.
- Password: Your NetID password
Note: An "Anonymous identity" is not required. This field may be left blank.

- You are now connected to CometNet!
