Summary
This article provides instructions to manage mailbox delegates on New Outlook (Windows). Like having an assistant that helps you manage your incoming paper mail, another person (known as a delegate), can receive and respond to email messages, meeting requests, and responses on your behalf. You can also grant them additional permissions to read, create, or change items in your Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox.

New Outlook Delegation
Currently, assigning delegate permissions to mail folders in New Outlook is only partially available. You can have delegates, but you must use Classic Outlook to assign those permissions first. After assigning delegate access in Classic Outlook, the person you're sharing a folder can access that folder from within their New Outlook mailbox- their responses will show as coming on your behalf.
Assigning Delegate
- Open New Outlook.
- Right-click on the E-mail/ Folder you would like to grant access to and select Sharing and permissions.
- Select the Plus sign (+) located on the top left.
- Search for the delegate you would like to add and click Add.
