Sync Microsoft SharePoint Sites to OneDrive

This article provides information and instructions on how to set up sync between SharePoint sites and OneDrive.

Body

Sync SharePoint to Libraries/Folders

  • Login to Office and open SharePoint from the app list.

  • Select the site that you want to sync.
  • Select Documents, or navigate to the sub-folder that you want to sync within in site library pane > Sync.

  • If your browser requests permission to use Microsoft OneDrive confirm that this is okay.
Note: Choose the folders that you want to sync, and then click Start sync.
  • SharePoint team sites sync under a folder with your tenant name.
    • This folder is automatically added to the left navigation pane in File Explorer/Finder.

Sync Teams to SharePoint/OneDrive

  • Select Files from the Teams Channel you want to sync.
  • Select the option Sync.
  • You will be prompted to sign in to and open your OneDrive folder.
    • The files from the channel you selected will now be synced with your OneDrive account and be available on your computer's File Explorer/Finder for easy access.
