Off-boarding Recommendations

Purpose

This article will provide some valuable best practice suggestions to ensure zero loss of data or information from the date of joining till the last date of employment. 

Follow these options for transitions between employees to minimize impact during transitions from employees. The following best practices are recommended for redundancy in access so that if a team member is on sick leave, vacation, or job change the remaining team members will still be able to access information. You may also use these processes as a checklist when off-boarding employees to prevent information loss.

Note: A former employee account is deleted 28 days after they have been terminated from UTD. They must share and transfer necessary files and documents from their individual account to the team’s shared folder to ensure no data loss.
