Folder Names in Incorrect Language

Purpose

The scope of the article is to help you fix the incorrect language appearing on Outlook.

If Outlook is using an incorrect language, you should first check the settings of your computer and the settings in Outlook. If everything is correct there, but the language still displays incorrectly in Outlook, try the instructions below.

Steps

By default, the names of the default folders will match the language of Outlook. However, suppose you have been using a different language of Outlook before when these folders were created. In that case, you'll have to reset the folders to match the language of Outlook again by starting Outlook with the/resetfoldernames switch.

For Windows 10

  • Right-click the Start button (Windows icon) > Type Run and open it.
