Log into
M365
.
Select the designated
Email
to share in Microsoft Teams.
Note:
You do not need to open the email in a different window by double clicking on it.
Select
Outlook
from the apps launcher (the waffle/ cluster of dots in the upper right hand corner).
Click on
Apps
button.
Alternative:
Click on the
More Actions
options (towards the right-hand side of the email), and select the
Apps
options within that.
Select the email you want to share in Microsoft Teams.
Note:
You do not need to open the email in a different window by double clicking on it.
Select
Share to Teams.
Click on the
More Actions
options (towards the right-hand side of the email), and select the
Share to Teams
options within that.

Share to Microsoft Teams
dialogue box will open where you can enter the name of the
contact/group/channel
were you would like to share your email.
You can also type out a message which will be shared along with the email in Teams, if you want to add any extra information.
If your email contains an
attachment
that you want to share, check the
Includes Attachment
check box.
Click on
Share
once the settings are as per your preferences.
Note:
If the email you selected to share
does not
include an attachment, the 'Included attachment' section will be greyed out.
You'll then receive a confirmation: Your email is on its way to Teams!
The recipient(s) will receive a preview of the message on Microsoft Teams along with the attachments.
A new chat will be created if this is your first time chatting with the recipient(s).
