Outlook Autodiscover

Purpose

The article explains why Outlook asks you to allow a website to configure an email's server setting.

Explanation

This can happen for a few reasons, including connectivity issues between the client and server, adding additional accounts, or occasionally because of an MS update. Typically, Autodiscover will look for the primary mailbox, but it can happen when it is searching for other mailboxes.

  • Select Allow if you receive the below prompt and trust the email.
  • Then check Don't ask me about this website again if you wish.
