Claude for Word

This article shows you how to log into Claude in Word.

Body

Sign into the Word Add-in

  • Open Word on your device.
  • Click the Claude icon in the Home ribbon, next to Add-ins.

  • The Claude panel opens on the right.
  • Click the Log in button.

  • A browser tab opens showing a code to connect Claude for Word.
  • Make sure the code matches the one shown in Word, then click Connect.

  • You'll see a confirmation that you're signed in.
  • Return to Word — the add-in finishes connecting automatically.

  • Back in Word, a short intro to Claude appears.
    • Click the Next button to continue.

  • You'll be asked whether Claude should work across all your open apps.
    • Click Turn on, or Skip to enable it later.

  • A final notice will appear about content from un-trusted sources.
    • Click I understand to finish.
  • You're now signed in and ready to use Claude in Word.
