UT Dallas VPN service, Global Protect, is automatically available for the following affiliations:

  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Student Worker
  • Enrolled Students 
Future State: Enrolled Students will have VPN access based on their courses in the future, ensuring that only those who need the VPN for their coursework have access to it.

The following affiliations are not automatically allowed VPN access (requires to be sponsored and requested through IT Resource Request):

  • Customer
  • Guest
  • Contract Grant
  • Applicants
  • Admitted
  • Non-Traditional Student
