Context
The time reporting functionality in TeamDynamix allows users to track and report where their time is being allocated efficiently. Each time entry, whether for a ticket, workspace, or project, will have a time type, a quantity, and a date associated with it. Adding time for any ticket, project, or workspace may be done indefinitely.
The first opportunity to log time against a ticket is after creating the ticket. Visit How to Create a Ticket in TDNext Article | Atlas for ticket creation steps.
Once you submit a new ticket, you will be prompted to add time:
- Enter the time in Hours.
- This time will be automatically added to the newly created ticket.
- Confirm Date field.
- Select the Time Type from the drop-down menu.
- Click Save.

You are also able to enter time on a ticket under the "T&E" (Time and Expenses) tab within the ticket.
- Navigate to a ticket to which you want to add time to.
- Select the T&E tab > + Add Time.

- Fill in the details on the populated dialog box.
- Select the Time Type from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the time in Hours.
- Confirm or update the Time Date field to reflect the date the work was performed.
- (Optional) Add a brief note in the Description field describing the work completed.
- Click Save.

Updating a ticket also provides the opportunity to enter time. Below the "New Status" field is an option to add time.
- Navigate to a ticket to which you want to add time to.
- Click on Actions > Update.

- Select the Time Type, Hours, and Date.

- Add a brief note in the Comments field describing the work completed.
- Click Save.
