Installation of CrashPlan Code42 on UTD Computers (Mac and Windows)

This article provides the steps to install CrashPlan Code42 on UTD computers (Mac and Windows).

Steps for Mac 

1. Connect to the GlobalProtect VPN and press Command key + K, to connect to the server window.
2. Enter smb://campus.ad.utdallas.edu/UTD/AllShare for the Server Address, and select Connect.

3. Navigate to the CrashPlan Installer: Installs > CrashPlan > Crashplan 11.0.0.949
4. Select the file CrashPlan_11.0.0_949_Mac.dmg to install CrashPlan Code42. 

5. Follow the steps prompted by CrashPlan Code42 to complete installation.

• If requested, enter User Name and Server Name to connect and initialize first backup.
  • User Name: NetID@utdallas.edu
  • Server Name: clients.us1.crashplan.com

Steps for Windows 

1. Connect to the GlobalProtect VPN and go to File Explorer in your PC.
2. Enter \\campus.ad.utdallas.edu\UTD\AllShare in the navigation pane.
3. Navigate to Installs > CrashPlan > Crashplan 11.0.0.949
4. Click the file CrashPlan_11.0.0_949_Win64 and follow the installation wizard steps to install CrashPlan Code42. 

5. Follow the installation wizard steps to install CrashPlan Code42. 

• If requested, enter User Name and Server Name to connect and initialize first backup.
  • User Name: NetID@utdallas.edu
  • Server Name: clients.us1.crashplan.com
