Purpose
These instructions outline the process for using the CertiNext platform to request and download an SSL Certificate.
Single-Host SSL/TLS Certificate
- Navigate to the SSL/TLS Certificate Request link
- Upload or Paste your Certificate Signing Request (CSR), then click Next.
- Check the Validated Organization box for "The University of Texas at Dallas (7916157)", then click Next.
- **Important - Add Contact Name and Email under "Certificate Download Delegation", then click Next.
- Verify the "Domain Name" field was populated correctly from your CSR, then click Next.
- On the "Additional Information" page, perform the following steps:
- Add "Requested by" + your name and department to "Order Remarks".
- **Important - Check the box for "Additional email recipients", add your email (a shared inbox is preferred) to the "Recipient Email IDs" list, then click the email from the drop-down to populate it into the field.
- Verify Auto-renew is checked, then choose 15 or 30 days before expiration.
- Click Next.
- Review the "Order Summary", then click Submit.
- Send an email to issupport@utdallas.edu
Subject: SSL Cert Request Submitted
Body: "Submitted SSL Cert request for " + Paste the domain name
- Wait for the certificate request to be approved. If approval is not received within 2 business days, please send a follow up email to issupport@utdallas.edu.
- Once approved, an email will be sent to the "Additional email recipients" from "CERTInext <donotreply@certinext.io>" with Subject: "Your Certificate is ready for download".
- Click the "Download Certificate" button in the email, then click the same button on the web page that opens.
- Follow the directions to download the appropriate file based on system requirements. If Zip is chosen, the zip folder will contain the certificate, intermediate, and CA chain certs.
Multi-Host (SAN) SSL/TLS Certificate
- Navigate to the SSL/TLS Multi-Host (SAN) Certificate link.
- Upload or Paste your Certificate Signing Request (CSR), then click Next.
- Check the Validated Organization box for "The University of Texas at Dallas (7916157)", then click Next.
- **Important - Add Contact Name and Email under "Certificate Download Delegation", then click Next.
- Verify the "Domain Name" and "Additional Domain Names" fields were populated correctly from your CSR, then click Next.
- On the "Additional Information" page, perform the following steps:
