Overview
UTD contracts with the third party telecommunications provider Apogee to provide high-speed, reliable internet service to campus residents. Apogee's ResNet (MyResNet) wireless network is broadcast in all campus residential areas, including University Commons, University Village, and Canyon Creek Heights residences. ResNet operates completely independently from the rest of the UTD campus, and is managed solely by Apogee.
The Office of Information Technology broadcasts the CometNet wireless network in the residence hall lobbies and University Village clubhouses. This network is not intended to extend to the living areas. To report an issue with CometNet, please contact the OIT Help desk.
Note: Ethernet (wired) access in University Housing is no longer supported in all residential areas. While some ports may be functional, neither Apogee nor UTD maintain or provide support for wired access.
