Student Online Directory Opt-In

Instructions

Follow the steps below when a student wants to opt-in to the university’s online directory and does not have FERPA Confidentiality for their educational record:

  • In Orion, navigate to the Student Homepage, choose the Profile Tile.

  • In the Online Directory Opt-In option in the navigation collection, students can choose to share or not share their information.

Online Directory Opt-In option is located on the left side menu, listed 6th from top to bottom.

Question to confirm UTD Online Directory Opt-in with Yes or No options.

  • Selecting Yes saves the page and commits the data to the system.
  • When a student wants to opt-in and does have FERPA Confidentiality for their educational record, they are directed to the existing FERPA Confidentiality instructions on the Registrar’s Office website.
