CrashPlan Code42 Backup Status Report

Explanation

CrashPlan Code42 is a backup service used by UTD that stores a copy of an asset's total content, so in the case of an emergency (like a computer crash), we can restore the old computer's contents on a new device. Code42 is the company that develops the software.

You will regularly get emails (noreply@code42.com with the Subject "Code42 for Enterprise Backup Report") that give you status updates about the health of your device's backups. These emails include information such as the name of your computer (your UTD Asset number), files being backed up, how many files are being backed up, the percentage that has been backed up, and when your backup was last completed.

If your backup has any problems or if you have further questions, contact the OIT Service Desk.
