Below are essential tips for students who are submitting Turnitin assignments. Please get in touch with elearning@utdallas.edu if you have any questions.

Submitting Your Turnitin Assignment is a Two-Step Process

  • The first step is to upload your file. You can upload your file on the eLearning website under the assignments section of the respective subject. 
  • Once you have done this, you will get a small preview image of your submission document.
  • You must then click the Confirm button to submit the assignment.

Make Sure You Get the Submission Confirmation

  • Whenever you submit an assignment - whether it's on Turnitin or eLearning, you can download the submission confirmation receipt  for your record by  selecting the  Download The Receipt icon.
  • Please know, Turnitin will not email a submission confirmation receipt.

Use a Firefox or Chrome Browser to Submit Your Turnitin Assignment

  • Avoid using Safari (browser) to submit your Turnitin assignments. A known issue caused by Safari browser settings can prevent your work from being successfully submitted. It is recommended for you to use a Firefox or Chrome browser.
