What is it?
OIT provides access to selected enterprise AI tools that support teaching, research, advising, administrative productivity, and technical workflows. Available offerings include Claude for Education seat options designed for different usage needs.

Claude for Education - Standard Seat: Intended for everyday academic and administrative use, including teaching support, advising, document drafting, research assistance, and routine productivity tasks. Includes approximately 2.5x the Pro usage runway.

Claude for Education - Premium Seat: Built for higher-volume needs, including compute-intensive research, development workflows, extended sessions, and team use cases. Includes approximately 5x the Standard usage runway and supports longer sessions.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
This service is available to eligible UT Dallas faculty and staff. Access is reviewed based on the submitted business, academic, research, or operational need.

Submit the request with your department, intended use case, preferred seat type, and any relevant academic or business requirements.

The request form must be submitted by the department fiscal officer. If you need access to Claude, contact your department fiscal officer to complete the request on your behalf.
Where Can I Get It?
Once the seat is approved and assigned, users will receive an email from Anthropic at their UT Dallas email address titled “You're invited to join University of Texas at Dallas on Claude.” The email will include instructions for activating access within the University of Texas at Dallas environment.
To sign in to Claude, go to Claude Login, enter your UT Dallas email address (NETID@utdallas.edu), and select Continue with SSO. When prompted, enter your NetID and password, complete DUO authentication, and you will be signed in to the UT Dallas Claude environment through SSO.
How Much Does It Cost?
Billing note: OIT does not prorate license fees. Requests submitted during the year are charged at the full annual license rate.
