View Monthly costs (MTD)

You can view your monthly costs on the platform by checking the MTD Cost in the top bar, as shown in the image below:

Notes: MTD Cost represents your Month-To-Date spending.

If you are unable to see this display, start a new chat and ask a question to refresh the interface or reopen an old conversation.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Alternatively, you can view your MTD by clicking on the User Menu on the top-right corner in the dropdown menu

View Monthly costs (MTD) Breakdown

You can also see your MTD Cost Breakdown by clicking on the View Breakdown buttonUploaded Image (Thumbnail)

At the top, three cards give a quick snapshot of your spending:

  • Today - how much you have spent on AI model usage so far today.

  • Prior Days - your accumulated spending from earlier days this month (except today’s cost).

  • MTD Total - your complete month-to-date total, which is the number actively checked against your spending limits on every chat request.

Today's Hourly Activity

A bar chart showing your spending broken down hour by hour for the current day. You can hover over each bar to see the exact dollar amount for that hour. If you haven't used CometAI today, it simply reads "No activity recorded today."

6-Month History

A bar chart showing your monthly spending over the past 6 months, letting you spot usage trends over time. It includes:

  • trend badge (e.g., ↓ 56% vs last month) comparing your current month to the previous one.

  • Avg / month - your average monthly spends across all recorded months.

  • All-time total - your cumulative spending since you started using the platform.

Rate Limit Utilization

This section shows how close you are to your spending limits:

  • Hourly, Daily, and Monthly spend figures are displayed side by side.

  • A progress bar shows what percentage of your monthly limit you've consumed (e.g., $2.45 / $60.00 - 4.1% used).

  • You can toggle between your Admin-set global limit and any group-level limit if you belong to.

  • Once your MTD spend hits the limit, paid AI models are restricted, and you will be  automatically switched to free UT Aspire models.

Account Breakdown

At the bottom right, your total expenditure is broken down by billing account - useful if you're working across multiple projects or departments. Each account shows:

  • Its AccountID (e.g., a department code or project number).

  • Today spend and this month's total separately.

  • Any cost attributed through any API keys (Owner, System, Delegate) is also listed here, with the full key identifier shown for traceability.
