Accessing Claude Skills

  • Open a new chat in Claude.
  • Click the + Plus sign in the bottom left of the text box.

  • Hover over the “Skills” menu.

  • You can choose an existing skill or to Browse skills.
  • You can also use your skills by typing a forward slash “/” and their name.

  • If you choose to browse skills, select the Anthropic tab to see skills created by Anthropic.

  • When you find a skill you would like to install, you can either press the + Plus sign or click the skill itself,then press the Install button.

Claude for Education provides UT Dallas faculty and staff with institutionally managed access to Anthropic's Claude AI assistant. The offering includes Claude Chat for everyday AI assistance, Claude Cowork for more complex, multi-step work, and Claude Code for programming and development tasks.
