Objective
This article provides instructions on how to generate captions and transcripts for a video in ClipChamp (on SharePoint). Microsoft allows video owners to generate transcript and caption files for videos spoken in 28 different languages and locales. When recording on a Teams call, transcriptions are automatically generated along with the video recording. Additionally, the transcript indicates attendees who join or leave the meeting.

- Select the video you would like to generate captions and transcripts.
- Click on Transcript on the right panel.

- Once the transcript window opens to your left you will also have the option to Download Transcript as a .docx or .vtt file.

- When playing the video, you can Sync the Transcript to the video to stay on track.

Removing Transcripts
To Remove a Transcription:
- Automatically click the Transcript and Captions button via "Video Settings"
- Toggle transcripts to Off.

Turning on Captions
You can turn captions on or off by toggling the CC icon in the player controls near the bottom-right side of the video.
