Stale Request When Connecting to VPN

Context

Follow the steps below if you're experiencing a stale Request message when connecting to the VPN.

Resolution

  • Start by closing the dialog box by clicking the X at the top right of the window.
  • Relaunch Global Protect.
    • This can be done by searching GlobalProtect in the Search Menu of your Windows device.

  • To reconnect, open GlobalProtect > Connect.
  • A new window will open, asking for your login credentials. These next steps are crucial to your success in connecting to the VPN:
    • Type in your UTD credentials
    • Use your mouse to click on the Login button.

Note: Do not hit Enter on your keyboard device. Hitting Enter after entering your username and SSO password will result in the Stale Request error message.
