A new version is running on AWS using Python. Users will be able submit IT Resource Requests (formerly eCAT) in PEARL- it uses SSO (Single-Single On) with DUO.
The previous user prompts in eCAT were either by NetID or UTD-ID with option to ‘Look up NetID by User’. PEARL will now allow lookup by First Name, Last Name, NetID or UTD-ID.
Note: If you use First Name or Last Name, make sure you select the correct user (many users may have the same name)
This is the general look of the homepage, which will be different for each user depending on the roles. The PEARL homepage is very similar to the current eCAT homepage. There are additional modules and added functions for PeopleSoft requests, which is currently restricted for only certain departments that use the functionality. The main difference is the background and colors, with your options available be largely the same as you were familiar with in eCAT if your department does not use PeopleSoft requests.

Users can now be found by using Name, NetID or UTD-ID. Click Lookup after entering a value to find the existing user. Below "Lookup", users that match criteria will be listed. Select the User, then click Next.

Note: You will not be able to move forward until a user is selected. You may need to use a different search criteria to locate some.
Sample search results, click Radio button next to user you wish to process.
Some IT Resource Requests may need a functional contact. This will be the person to contact for account questions.

Note: Next will not be highlighted until a user is selected. If the user you want is not found, you may need to search using a different criteria.
