UT Dallas Cloud Services offer managed resources such as servers, storage, and databases through Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. These services help host websites, run applications, and store data, while meeting University and state standards.
UTD Faculty and Staff are eligible to request Cloud Hosting:
- Use the Request Cloud Hosting form to start the cloud environment provisioning process and user access to new cloud accounts.
- Other changes or service requests to cloud accounts can also be made.
- The requestor must agree and comply with all standards, guidelines, and procedures set by the University and by the Office of Information Technology.
- All charges for cloud hosting are based on consumption and will be billed back to the requestor’s provided cost centers and the sole responsibilities of the requestor and their department.

Cloud services are typically "Pay as You Go" (PAYG), meaning you pay based on the amount of services you use. Discounts may be available based on term contracts and promotional offerings. Project costs can vary depending on the specific services you use and the terms of our institutional agreements.
- To request a new account:
- Select "Request Cloud Hosting" on the right side of the page.
- To add or modify user access:
- Select "Add/Modify/Delete User Access" and complete the form.
- To stop services:
- Select "Decommission Cloud Hosting" and complete the form.
- For inquiries or consultations:
- Select "General Request/Guidance" and complete the form.

UT Dallas Cloud offers public and secured network access to both Azure and AWS services.
The following cloud computing services are available through the Enterprise Cloud and Infrastructure Services Department:
- Request Cloud Hosting: Start a new cloud account or subscription. This involves completing a form where you agree to be responsible for charges billed to your account.
- Decommission Cloud Hosting: Begin the process of closing your cloud account or subscription. Cloud Services will review prerequisites, provide advisory services, and decommission resources. The account will be flagged for deletion and be permanently deleted after a retention period of 30 days.
- Add/Modify/Delete User Access: Request changes to user access for your cloud hosting account. Provide the account info, the user's name, NetID, and permissions to be assigned or removed.
- General Request/Guidance: For all other cloud-related assistance or inquiries, use this service. Consulting services are available for all users who require additional support.
