In addition to exporting single messages, CometAI Platform allows you to download an entire conversation, including your prompts and the Language Models responses, into a single, well-structured document. This feature is ideal for creating a complete transcript of your interaction for records, sharing, or further analysis as required by your faculty or managers.
- After the AI has generated a response you wish to save, hover your mouse over the response text. A

- Click on Download Response, which looks like a downward-facing arrow.

- A "Download" options window will appear.
- In the "Format" drop-down menu, ensure that Word is selected.
- Currently, there are no templates available, but this feature will be updated in the future.
- You can also choose whether to include the conversation name by toggling on the Include Conversation Name.
- Once your options are set, click the Download button.
- The system will process the file.

- Select Click to Download button to proceed in the pop-up window.

- You can now open the downloaded file in Microsoft Word.
- The text from the CometAI Platform response will be formatted and ready for use.
Note: You may need to click Enable Editing if the document opens in "Protected View", as it is standard for files downloaded from the Internet.

- Once your conversation is complete, locate the Download button on the top bar of the chat panel to view export options.
- It is positioned directly above the first message in the conversation thread.

- An advanced options panel will open allowing you to customize the exported document extensively.

- Select your Export option to continue:
- Format: Select Word or PowerPoint (PowerPoint is under testing and maintenance) as your desired output format. This guide focuses on the Word export.
- Template: When exporting to PowerPoint, this option allows you to select a pre-designed template. For now, please keep it as “none”.
- Include Conversation Name: Choose Yes to add the conversation's title (as seen in the left-hand panel) to the top of your document.
- Include: This powerful option lets you decide which parts of the chat to export: Assistant Messages only, User Messages (your prompts) only, or Both.
- Header Options (Conversation, Message, User, Assistant): These fields allow you to use Markdown (e.g., for a main heading, ## for a subheading) to automatically structure your document. For example, using # in the Conversation Header field will make the conversation title a top-level heading in the Word document. You can similarly set headers for every message, or apply different headers for user and assistant messages, to create a highly organized transcript.
- Scroll to the "Conversations" list at the bottom of the pane after setting your formatting options.
- You can select one or multiple conversations to combine into a single report.
- The formatting and header settings you chose above will be applied to all selected conversations.
- Click the Download button at the bottom of the panel.
- Select Click to Download in the pop-up window.
- Navigate to the location where you saved the file and open it with Microsoft Word.
- The document will be neatly formatted according to the options you selected, including the conversation title and any custom headers, creating a complete and readable record of your chat.
