What Is It?

CometAI is UT Dallas’s enterprise generate AI platform, designed to empower our community to innovate across disciplines. With a flexible, cost-effective, chat-based interface, Comet AI enables you to:

  • Engage in conversational AI
  • Customize and share responses
  • Interact with uploaded documents

It’s architecture ensures vendor independence, allowing seamless access to multiple AI models – such as Claude, Meta, Mistral, and OpenAI – without being locked into a single provider.

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

Currently this service is not generally available.  We have a beta program and if you are interested in access please submit the "General Request / Help" button the right of this page.

Where Can I Get It?

Currently CometAI is in beta testing.  If you'd like access to CometAI, please submit the "General Request / Help" button on the right of this page.  We will review your request and provide next steps. Once you have access, you may log in with your NetID and password: https://cometai.utdallas.edu

How Much Does It Cost?

Users will be limited to $3.00 per month. Month-to-date (MTD) costs are displayed at the top of the screen when logged in.
