Mapping a Network Drive (macOS)

 Commonly Mapped Drives

Listed below are a few commonly used drives at UTD and their associated network share path. The letters used to represent these below are purely convention; any available drive letter may be used.

Connecting to Shared Drive 

  1. Click the Go menu, then select Connect to Server (or type Command K).
  2. Enter the Server Address (see list above) and select Connect.
    • Select the Icon in the window to add it to your Favorites.

  1. A new window will appear confirming your connection attempt, select Connect.
  2. Click Registered User when the login panel appears.
  3. Enter your NetID and Password > Connect.

Note: Effective 12/22/2021, drive paths that include "utdfs01" will no longer work for shared drives. Instead, use smb://campus.ad.utdallas.edu/UTD/Dept/<sharename> or mount smb://campus.ad.utdallas.edu/UTD/Dept/ and choose from the list of folders.
