Map a Network Drive (macOS)

 Commonly Mapped Drives

Listed below are a few commonly used drives at UTD and their associated network share path. The letters used to represent these below are purely convention; any available drive letter may be used.

Note: Not all user home directories are hosted on Mars. If you are having issues mapping your home directory or any other drives, please contact the OIT Service Desk.

Connecting to Shared Drive 

  1. Connect to the UTD Network through either CometNet, wired connection, or GlobalProtect VPN.
  2. Open Finder > Go > Connect to Server.
    • Or type Command K to open the "Connect to Server" window.

Connect to Sserver is located under Finder > Go.

  1. Enter the Server Address (see list above) and select Connect.
    • Select the Plus and Minus signs on the window to add it to your Favorites.

  1. A new window will appear confirming your connection attempt, select Connect.
  2. Select Registered User when the login panel appears, and enter your NetID and PasswordConnect.

Note: Effective 12/22/2021, drive paths that include "utdfs01" will no longer work for shared drives. Instead, use smb://campus.ad.utdallas.edu/UTD/Dept/<sharename> or mount smb://campus.ad.utdallas.edu/UTD/Dept/ and choose from the list of folders.
