Mapping a Network Drive (macOS)

Purpose

Follow the steps in this article to help you map a network drive on a macOS.

 Connecting to Shared Drives 

  1. Select the Go menu, then select Connect to Server (or type Command K).
  2. Enter the Server Address and select Connect.

  1. A window will appear confirming your connection attempt, select Connect.
  2. When the login panel appears, select Registered User.
  3. Enter your NetID and Password, and select Connect.

Note: Effective 12/22/2021, drive paths that include "utdfs01" will no longer work for shared drives. Instead, use smb://campus.ad.utdallas.edu/UTD/Dept/<sharename> or mount smb://campus.ad.utdallas.edu/UTD/Dept/ and choose from the list of folders.
