Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI-powered productivity assistant integrated directly into the Microsoft 365 applications you already use every day. Copilot helps you work smarter and faster by combining the power of large language models with your Microsoft 365 data. With M365 Copilot, you can:
- Draft and refine documents, emails, and presentations
- Summarize meetings, chats, and lengthy documents
- Generate insights from data in Excel
- Get contextual assistance within Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and more
As a fully integrated Microsoft experience, Copilot works within your existing M365 environment — no additional tools or platforms required.
Teams Premium
Microsoft Teams Premium is an enhanced version of Microsoft Teams that brings advanced features to your meetings, webinars, and collaboration experiences at UT Dallas. Built on top of the standard Teams experience, Teams Premium adds intelligent and professional-grade capabilities, including:
- AI-generated meeting recaps and notes via Intelligent Recap
- Live translation of meeting captions in multiple languages
- Advanced webinar tools including registration management and custom branding
- Enhanced meeting protection with watermarking and end-to-end encryption options
- Custom branded meetings to represent UTD professionally
Teams Premium is ideal for departments and individuals who regularly host large meetings, webinars, or require elevated security and AI-assisted productivity features.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
This service is available to eligible UT Dallas faculty, staff, student employees, and research assistants. Access is reviewed based on the submitted business, academic, research, or operational need.

- Submit the request with your department, intended use case, preferred seat type, and any relevant academic or business requirements.
- The request form must be submitted by the department fiscal officer. If you need access to Claude, contact your department fiscal officer to complete the request on your behalf.
Where Can I Get It?
Once licenses are assigned:
- M365 Copilot features will be available automatically within your existing Microsoft 365 applications.
- Teams Premium features will be available automatically withing your existing Microsoft Teams application.
How Much Does It Cost?
The Microsoft AI Tools offering (M365 Copilot & Teams Premium): $194 per user, per year.
Billing note: OIT does not prorate license fees. Requests submitted during the year are charged at the full annual license rate.
