What Is It?
The TechKnowledgy Bar (Tech Bar) is OIT's location on campus to assist users with technical issues in person, as well as to foster events centered on technology. The Tech Bar is located inside the first floor of the Student Union and can be reserved by submitting a request. All requests will be reviewed before approval.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
Faculty, Staff, and Students. Outside Guests, such as Vendors, are welcomed as well (Must be sponsored by a Department).
Where Can I Get It?
There are 3 types of reservations. Please review their descriptions below and submit a request using the links on this page to access this service.
- Tech Try-Outs
- Tech Try-Outs are used to showcase any new technology for various days at the Tech Bar. Devices are properly showcased at the Display Counter
- Students/ Faculty/ Staff are allowed to visit and grab information anytime the Tech Bar is open
- Vendor Visits
- Vendor Visits are open for anyone inside or outside of UTD who is wanting to share information regarding a new system or device
- Book a time to share your tech. insight with the UTD community
- UTD Org. Events
- The Tech Bar is available to host your events. Book your event at the Tech Bar and have a home to share your tech. ideas with your organization
