  • How do I request user access?
    • All UTD faculty, staff, and students have access to REDCap via their NetID. To access REDCap, navigate to https://redcap.utdallas.edu/ and log in using your NetID and password.
  • Can someone who is not a UTD faculty, staff, or student get access to REDCap?
    • Yes, but it requires requesting a guest account through OIT.
  • Is REDCap HIPAA- and FDA Part 11-compliant?
    • REDCap is HIPAA-compatible however, UTD does not have a HIPAA-compliant instance currently. UTD does have a FDA Part 11-compliant instance – for more information, reach out to redcap-help@utdallas.edu.
  • How do I create a new project?
  • What is the difference between Development and Production?
    • To learn more about the different REDCap Project Status’, reference the REDCap Project Status article.
  • Can I make changes to my project in production?
    • Yes, to make changes to a project in Production status, you must navigate to the Designer, click “Enter Draft Mode”, then proceed to make your changes. Once you have made the changes, click “Submit Changes for Review”.
