Context

This article guides users in the downloading process of Firefox to avoid stale pages or log-in issues when using Galaxy. Firefox 102.3.0 ESR is the only supported browser for Orion and Gemini access.

Windows Download

  • Click here for your Firefox download.
  • Scroll to "Enterprise downloads" towards the bottom of the page.
  • Click on the Windows 64-bit drop down menu.
  • Select Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) to start your download.

  • Go to your current browser's Downloads.
  • Find your "Firefox Setup" file and click on Open file.

  • Follow the steps in Mozilla Firefox Setup.
  • Select Standard in "Setup Type".
  • Click Install > Finish to launch Firefox.

macOS Download

  • Click here for your Firefox download.
  • Scroll to "Enterprise downloads" towards the bottom of the page.
  • Click on the macOS drop down menu.
  • Select Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) to start your download.
