See and Manage Your OneDrive Files

Purpose 

This article shows how to see and manage the files and folders on OneDrive installed on your computer.

Note: OneDrive is a file hosting service and synchronization service operated by Microsoft as part of its suite of Microsoft 365 services. It is provisioned with 1TB of storage by default. OneDrive and other Office 365 services are protected by Duo authentication.

Explanation

View Your Files

  • Your OneDrive files will appear in File Explorer in the OneDrive folder.
    • If you use more than one account, your files appear under OneDrive – Personal, and your work or school files appear under OneDrive - The University of Texas at Dallas.

 Manage Your Files

  • You now have a new white or blue cloud icon (or both) in your notification area and your files are synced to your computer. When you hover over the blue cloud icon , it will appear as OneDrive – The University of Texas at Dallas.

  • If you want to change the folders you sync on your computer, right-click the cloud icon in the task bar notification area, and select Settings > Account > Choose folders. Find other information about your account and change different OneDrive settings from there.
