Course Teams Storage
Each Course Microsoft Teams site is allocated 10 GB of storage. This storage is shared across all files in the Team, including meeting and lecture recordings.
Storage Limits
- Default storage allocation: 10 GB per Course Team
- What counts toward storage:
- Teams meeting recordings
- Uploaded video files
- Other files stored in the Team’s Files area (SharePoint)
When recordings or other files exceed the allotted storage, users may be unable to upload new content or save additional recordings
Best Practices to Manage Storage
To avoid reaching the storage limit, consider the following:
- Delete recordings that are no longer needed
- Move long-term or reusable recordings to Box or another approved storage location
Download and archive older recordings before removing them from the Course Team
Requesting Additional Storage
If your course recordings exceed the 10 GB limit, faculty may request additional storage.
- Requests are reviewed and processed by IT
- Please allow up to 2 business days for requests to be completed
- Include course name and section number
