Teams Voice: Desk Phone Operation and Functionality

Objective

Learning about the operations of the Teams Voice Desk Phone: Calling, Transfers, Forwarding, Delegates

Procedure

Calling:

  1. 1. Pick up the phone / Tap on Calls.

  2. 2. Tap on the Phone + icon in purple on the bottom-right of the screen.

  3. 3. Dial the number on the Dial pad or tap on People and search for the person.

Transferring:

          1. When on a call, click the ... icon.

  1. 2. Choose Transfer, then select either Transfer or Consult First.

  2. 3. Search for and then select the name of the person to transfer to.

Note: If Consult First were chosen, that user would then ring. After consulting, you can click the handset to handset icon to finish the Transfer or return to the original call.

Forwarding:

  1. 1. From the Main screen, tap the User Icon.

  2. 2. Select Settings, then Calling, and toggle Call Forwarding on.

  3. 3. In the Forward to the field, choose the destination.

Delegates:

          Add a Delegate: 

          1. From the Main screen, tap the User icon.

  1. 2. Select Settings, then Manage Delegates.

  2. 3. Add a delegate by typing their name and selecting them.

          Remove a Delegate:

          1. From the Main screen, tap the User icon.

  1. 2. Select Settings, then Manage Delegates.

  2. 3. Click on the user you want to remove as a delegate.

  3. 4. Tap Remove Delegate.
