Update Contact Information (Students)

Purpose

This article contains instructions on how students can update their contact information the university has on record through Galaxy.

Update Contact Information

  1. Navigate to Galaxy.
  2. Select ORION and log in with your NetID and password.

  1. Select Profile from the UTD Student Center tab.

  1. Select Contact Details from the navigation tabs on the left.

Phone

  1. Under the Phone section, select the plus sign (+) button.

  1. Enter the required information and select Save.
  • Type: Select the phone number type from the drop-down.
  • Country Code/Phone Number/Extension: Enter the country code (if applicable), the Phone Number (required), and the extension (if applicable).
  • Preferred: Check the box for "Preferred" to set this phone number as your preferred contact number.
  • Enable Texts: Select Enable Texts if you would like to receive notifications from the university to this phone number.

Email

  1. Under the Email section, select the plus sign (+) button.

  1. Enter the required information and select Save.
  • Type: Select the email type from the drop-down.
  • Email: Enter the full email address.

Note: In the list your Campus email will show as Preferred, which cannot be changed.
