Teams Voice Troubleshooting Guide

Issue

Microsoft Team Voice issues can be related to sound, quality, app performance, call connectivity, etc. Here are some initial steps to try and potentially resolve your issue. 

Basic Troubleshooting

Test your account on another device / Web browser

We recommend you sign in to your Teams account from another device like a Mobile or Web browser. To sign in to your Teams account on a browser, go to: https://teams.microsoft.com/

 

Teams Application Authentication

  • Log out from the Teams application by clicking on your profile picture icon (Or initials) on the top right and click Sign out.

  • Close or Quit the Microsoft Teams Application.

  • Re-launch the Teams Application.

  • Log into Teams with your NetID@utdallas.edu and Password

 

Reinstalling the Teams Application (PC)

  • Go to the Start Menu and enter Teams on the search bar.
  • Right-click on the Microsoft Teams Application and click Uninstall.
  • Next, launch a web browser and navigate to teams.microsoft.com/download, and select Download Teams for Desktop

  • After Teams has been downloaded, run the application and sign in with your NetID@utdallas.edu and password.

Note: It is always recommended to check for updates first when you face any issue on the Teams App. Click on the three dots (...) on the top right (Left to the Profile Picture icon) and click Check for updates.
